About CHA

Fayerwather Hall, home to the Columbia History Department

The Columbia History Association (CHA) is the official undergraduate wing of the History Department at Columbia University. We welcome history majors, concentrators, and enthusiasts from all schools and class years!

We aim to foster community among undergraduates and bring together History students and faculty, hosting study breaks, professor lunches, trivia nights, museum visits, and panel discussions each semester. Additionally, CHA seeks to support history students through its semesterly mentorship program pairing new history students with upperclass history majors and concentrators, and runs panels on course selection, thesis preparation, careers, and a range of other topics.
