February 10th- Research and Fellowships Panel by Professor McCurry and Dean Lang that covers a variety of opportunities for the summer and beyond. Here is a running list of the opportunities that were discussed at the event. For a recording of the event please go to our resources page.
March 7th- Midterm Study Break hosted in Fayerweather 411 for snacks and CHA gift bags!
March 21st- Sophomore Major Declaration Celebration! Happening in Fayerweather 411 to celebrate the class of 2025 historians! There will be a kahoot and opportunity to meet fellow history enthusiasts!!
March 24th- The Writing of Gender and Women's History Panel is an important part of the shift in historiographic focus in the past few decades. We sit down with Professor Robcis, Professor Nadasen, and Professor Rao at 2pm in Fayerweather 411 to discuss methodology and their approaches to studying women and gender. There will be an opportunity for a Q&A afterward!
March 31st- The NYHS tour of "Kara Walker: Harper’s Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated)". Come to this group tour with subsidized entry to learn more about Kara Walker's work and view the series of prints that she comments on. We will be meeting at the 116th and Broadway entrance to Columbia at 12 and and the tour will be from 1-2pm on March 31st. If you are interested in attending please fill out this form as soon as possible as there are a limited number of spots on the tour. The deadline for signing up is Thursday March 30th at 11:59pm.
